MLEC Seeks Nominations for Community Award
Do you know an organization that has made outstanding contributions to the local community?
Mille Lacs Energy Cooperative (MLEC) is taking applicationsfor the Touchstone Energy® Community Award. The award recognizes a community group, non-profit or other organization for its outstanding contributions to the community. Any who have helped make the MLEC service area a better place to live and work are eligible for the award. MLEC will honor the local winner with a plaque and a $500 prize, which will be donated to a community service project of the winner's choice.

The nomination will require a description of the project, program or event and the positive impact it brought to the community. Completed applications must be received at Mille Lacs Energy’s office by October 29, 2010.
The award winner will compete for the statewide Touchstone Energy® Award which has a cash prize of $1,000. The statewide award winner will be recognized at the Minnesota Cooperative Energy Forum in 2011.
The Minnesota Touchstone Energy ® cooperatives are part of a national alliance of more than 600 rural electric cooperatives that adhere to the values of integrity, accountability, innovation and commitment to community.
