MLEC requires all 200 amp General Service meters to be bypass meter bases and to have a disconnect below the meter. 100 amp General Service meters are not required to use bypass meter bases, but are required to have a disconnect below the meter.
MLEC does not require a disconnect on any Load Management meter (ie: Off Peak, Dual Fuel or Freedom Heat). MLEC does require all 200 amp Load Management meters to be bypass meter bases.
