ENERGY STAR® Appliances
Did you know that the average home spends about $1,900 on energy costs every year? Change to appliances that have earned the ENERGY STAR ®, and you can save $80 a year in energy costs, while saving the environment.
Earning the ENERGY STAR® means a product meets strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Department of Energy.
To qualify for the ENERGY STAR® rebate, you must be a member of MLEC and verify the appliance is a qualified ENERGY STAR® product.
Remember, saving energy prevents pollution. By choosing ENERGY STAR®, you are helping prevent global warming and promote cleaner air without sacrificing the product quality and performance you expect.
For verification of current qualifying appliances please check on-line at http://www.energystar.gov then click on the appliance section to view available programs and specification listings for ENERGY STAR® qualified appliances.

Rebates are available only for the purchase of new ENERGY STAR®-rated appliances purchased on or after January 1st, 2008 through December 1st, 2008. Our rebate program is subject to change or cancellation without notice. Please call Deb Dean at 218-927-8246 or 888-724-9734 for more details!

MLEC also offers rebates for residential high efficient air conditioners and air source

Rebate amounts are as follows:
SEER 13 Central A/C or Air Source Heat Pump Installation $ 30
SEER 14 Central A/C or Air Source Heat Pump Installation $180
SEER 15 Central A/C or Air Source Heat Pump Installation $280
SEER 16 Central A/C or Air Source Heat Pump Installation $330
Applications are submitted by the registered contractor and must be submitted no later than June 30, 2009.
