Mille Lacs Energy Cooperative hosted a legislative event that brought together cooperative leaders from across northern Minnesota and elected officials to discuss key issues impacting rural communities and the future of Minnesota's energy landscape.
The event featured presentations and discussion from Jenny Glumack of the Minnesota Rural Electric Association (MREA), Jon Brekke of Great River Energy, Melissa Maertens, candidate for Minnesota House District 10A, and Senator Robert Farnsworth. Attendees gained valuable insights into legislative priorities, energy policy challenges, and opportunities that may shape the future of rural electric cooperatives and the communities they serve.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for cooperative leaders, legislators, and community stakeholders to engage in meaningful conversations and strengthen relationships through networking and collaboration.
